I have had the absolute honor to photograph the Kuhn family a few times and their girls are always a joy. This Fall family session took place at one of my favorite spots in Mequon, Virmond Park. We waited until the lighting was perfect, giving off that dreamy glow that I love to capture, which was about an hour or so before sunset. We got super lucky this day as it was almost 70 degrees in November, totally unheard of in Wisconsin!
Anna and Emmy were so super cute in their dresses, with the perfect fall colors that Jordan picked out. I absolutely love that Mama was in this patterned dress and had her family match her. One of my top tips for a family session is to plan around one outfit, and I think the Kuhn family did just that!
Virmond park in Mequon overlooks Lake Michigan and is beautiful this time of year! It offers an amazing backdrop during all seasons, with its tall trees, flowers in the summer, and cute paths that offer perfect little spots for photos.
Candid images are some of my favorite to take, and the Kuhn Family did not disappoint! They cuddled, laughed and had fun which is exactly what I want all of my families to do! I always find that family sessions go smoothly when parents are not stressed about their kiddos behaving, and just let them be little! If that’s running in circles, or being tipped upside down by dad, then thats what we’ll do! And I promise the photos will be amazing!
