Wow—what a year 2024 has been for Tara Fay Photography! As I sit down to reflect on everything that happened, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. This year was about so much more than the numbers (although there were plenty of those!). It was about the relationships, the growth, and the joy I found in every session.

This year, my calendar was full of sessions that brought me closer to the incredible families, babies, and individuals I get to work with. Here’s how 2024 shaped up for Tara Fay Photography:

- 25 cake smashes celebrated in all their messy, adorable glory.
- 20 milestones documented—because every stage deserves to be remembered.
- 34 family sessions filled with love and laughter.
- 41 mini sessions (hello, busy season!).
- 5 seniors celebrating their journey toward graduation.
- 160 new clients trusted me to capture their stories, and I’m so honored to welcome them into the fold.
- 64% returning clients, which makes my heart so full—I love being part of your family’s journey.
Each of these sessions represents more than just a photo. They’re snapshots of life, love, and fleeting moments that mean the world.
Expanding My Services
This year was also about branching out and offering new ways to serve my clients:
- I launched senior photography to capture those exciting milestones before high school ends.
- Added headshots and branding photography to help professionals put their best face forward.
- Opened up mentoring and online education, which has been an incredible way to connect with other photographers and share what I’ve learned over the years.
A Fresh Look and a Growing Team
In 2024, I gave my lifestyle studio a complete makeover! My goal was to create a space that feels warm, inviting, and versatile for all types of sessions. From cozy newborn shoots to professional headshots, this revamped space has been a game-changer.
Behind the scenes, my business also grew in ways that allow me to focus more on what I love—photography. I welcomed a social media manager to help share my work and connect with more amazing clients, as well as a bookkeeper to keep things running smoothly on the business side. I couldn’t do it without them!
Lessons and Gratitude
If this year has taught me anything, it’s the value of investing in yourself and your business. From redoing the studio to expanding my team and diving into new ventures like mentoring, I’ve learned that stepping outside your comfort zone is where the magic happens.
